The Kovener Award was established by the chapter in 2011 as the chapter’s highest recognition of the member who has “given back” the most to the chapter, Greeks generally, and the University in the spirit of alumnus Ronald Kovener. The award recognizes the brother who has achieved both academic superiority as well as excellence outside of the classroom and in the community.

Any undergraduate member of the Indiana Chapter who is current in payment of fees and fines may use the accompanying form to nominate up to five fellow undergraduate members of the chapter for this award each year during the month of February. A separate form must be submitted for each nominee. Self-nomination is also permitted.
A nomination is similar to making a “like” on Facebook but the nomination may also specify why the brother nominated deserves to receive the award. Activities and events that may qualify the member for the award may have occurred at any time during the nominee’s chapter membership; qualifying activities and events are not limited to the current academic year. Compensated activities may not be included.
Nomination forms for this award on this web site may be downloaded and completed on your computer. The completed nomination form must be sent electronically on or before March 1 to both the Chapter’s undergraduate VP for Scholarship iuduscholarship@gmail.com and the Wrangler Foundation Kovener Award chairman, Ward Weber – wardweber4@gmail.com. It is the responsibility of all nominators to confirm receipt of the nomination forms with the VP Scholarship.
