The Lindy G. Moss Scholarship honors Brother Lindy Moss (1949) who served as president of the Indiana Wrangler Foundation for 28 years. He was also President of the DU Indiana Chapter Corporation Board. As an undergraduate, Lindy served on the board of the Indiana Memorial Union and as president of the Whittenberger Society, the organization of past members of the Union board. This was a particularly fitting service since John Whittenberger, the founder of the Indiana Memorial Union, was a member of the Wranglers, the group that became the Indiana chapter of Delta Upsilon in 1915. Lindy was also instrumental in the chapter’s initial acquisition of a fire truck. The scholarship was funded by contributions received at the time of Lindy’s death from family members, brothers, and others and by other Wrangler Foundation funds.
